Spend an Hour With Him
Pray along with the video below, then continue with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Divine Mercy
Devotion to Christ’s mercy, revealed to St. Faustina Kowalska, whose diary gave the Church the image and words “Jesus, I trust in You.” Pray the Chaplet below, given to the Church through her, especially at the Hour of Mercy (3:00 p.m.).
Opening Prayers
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary… the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Eternal Father
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
For the Sake of His Sorrowful Passion
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Repeat the Eternal Father and this decade prayer for all five decades.
Holy God
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Then
Jesus, I trust in You.
This page prays the Chaplet as given to the Church for public devotion, rather than quoting directly from St. Faustina’s published Diary, which remains under copyright.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus
Devotion to the Sacred Heart, revealed to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, honors Christ’s Heart as the sign of His total, self-giving love — especially fitting alongside time before the Blessed Sacrament.
Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart
Lord Jesus Christ, I consecrate myself today to Your Most Sacred Heart. I give You my body, my soul, my thoughts, my words, and my actions. Heart of Jesus, burning with love for me, inflame my heart with love for You. Heart of Jesus, meek and humble, make my heart like unto Thine. Amen.
From the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Heart of Jesus, Son of the Eternal Father, have mercy on us.
Heart of Jesus, formed by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mother, have mercy on us.
Heart of Jesus, substantially united to the Word of God, have mercy on us.
Heart of Jesus, burning furnace of charity, have mercy on us.
Heart of Jesus, abyss of all virtues, have mercy on us.
Heart of Jesus, most worthy of all praise, have mercy on us.
Heart of Jesus, patient and most merciful, have mercy on us.
Heart of Jesus, our peace and our reconciliation, have mercy on us.
Concluding
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto Thine.
